Coloring has been such a huge part of my life this year, so I wanted to round up my favorite adult coloring books. Of course, most of these are perfect for kids as well! Coloring has truly been one of the best hobbies I’ve picked up. I always say that coloring is pretty meditative for me. Once I get in the zone it calms my thoughts and slow things down for me. As someone with ADHD and an inner monologue that never stops, this is huge for me.
If you’re looking for coloring books for yourself or for gift ideas, you’ve come to the right place!
Mental Health Coloring Book
Kyn You Believe It – $12
I have to of course start with the coloring book that put me onto an entire coloring journey, and that is the Mental Health Coloring Book from Kyn You Believe It. It’s filled with 20 simple designs (and I promise that’s a compliment). You’ll find that a lot of “adult” coloring books are super complicated and overwhelming, honestly. So the fact that these designs are not only cute, but can also be done in one sitting is a huge win in my book!
If you’re looking for another mental health coloring book, there’s also the In My Mind Coloring Book.
On the Bright Side Coloring Book*
Elyse Breanne Design – $16.99
On the Bright Side by Elyse Breanne Design is an all time favorite coloring book of mine! It’s filled to the brim with cute floral patterns, designs, and quotes. It has a pretty good variety of simple and complex designs. Truly a great gift for any floral lovers in your life!
Elyse Breanne has a few other coloring books I love including: Put a Bow on It and Farmers Market.
Book Lovers Coloring Book*
Alexa Zurcher (Pippi Post) – $12
If you’re looking for a coloring book for the book lovers in your life, this is it! This coloring book has tons of cute bookish quote and designs, and it’s perfect for sitting down with an Audiobook and coloring away.
Honorable mentions for Merry Bookmas*and Home for the Holidays*. I also purchased both of these books because I love the idea of cozying up with some Christmas movies while coloring this holiday season! I highly recommend checking out all of the Pippi Post coloring books because they are sooo cute!
The Cozy Coloring Book*
Jess Paper Co – $11.08
Next up is the Cozy Coloring Book* by Jess Paper Co. I love the simplicity in these designs, but also the wide variety in them! There are a good amount of florals in here as well as cozy scenes, coffee carts, travel inspired designs, and more.
If you’re looking for a coloring book that has designs that will take you less than 30 minutes to color, this is the book. And again, I mean that as a huge compliment. I sometimes forget how long some more intricate pages can take until it’s an hour and a half later and I realize I spent longer on coloring than I wanted to.
In the Garden Coloring Book
Kyn You Believe It – $12
The In the Garden Coloring Book from Kyn You Believe It is probably one of my favorites! I’m a sucker for florals, so this comes as no surprise. I have lots of good memories tied to this coloring book though, as it released right as we were moving into spring. I was able to sit outside and listen to the birds chirp, or I was sitting inside with the windows opened listening to the rain – both were peak relaxation. This time of my life I was coming out of seasonal depression so it was really beneficial for me to have this coloring book to bring me some joy.
While I do have every single coloring book from Kyn You Believe It, I only wanted to highlight a couple of them. But make sure to check out the Fall and Christmas coloring books if you’re looking for more seasonal ones.
The Good Life Coloring Book
Elyse Breanne Design – $22
The other EBD coloring book I wanted to highlight is The Good Life coloring book. This one is more Paris – Limoncello vibes and I love it! I mean I love all of her coloring books, but this one was such a good change of pace from the first coloring book that I had fun coloring these pages. I still have so many more to do, too!
Hygge Place Coloring Book*
Coco Wyo – $7.99
If you look up coloring books on Amazon, Coco Wyo will be all over the first page. The designs are simple, cute, and affordable. I like the Hygge Place coloring book because it features fun scenes that I thought would be super fun and different from the other coloring books I had.
If you’re looking for more coloring books by Coco Wyo, the Stress Relief*, Cozy Friends*, and Spooky Cute* were other ones I was looking at!
Elijah Deck Coloring Book Vol. 1
Elijah Deck – $23
Out of all the coloring books listed on this roundup, the Elijah Deck coloring books are definitely the most complicated ones. You’ll need to carve out 30+ minutes for these ones. But sometimes that’s exactly what you want! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with ones that take longer, especially since these ones aren’t overwhelming and chaotic. My biggest suggestion for these are to reuse colors wherever you can, so that the entire scene feels cohesive and not using 50 different colors.
If you go to my Tiktok, then click on Showcase, you’ll find the Elijah Deck coloring books listed there! They also have a Volume 2 coloring book which has more sales on it, but I figured I’d get this one first then once I’m done get the second one!
I hope you enjoyed this roundup of my favorite adult coloring books! Which book would you be getting for yourself? Which one would you be gifting this year? If you’re looking for more roundup posts, check out the best bookish gifts, and the best mental health products!
Happy coloring!
