August is here which means it’s time to start thinking about what to design this month! I hope that these quick posts provide you motivation or spark some new ideas. Use these prompts to create new SVGs, stickers, printables, clipart, and more. Please keep in mind that dates may change each year for some holidays, so I’ve opted to keep those out.

Project Ideas
August is another month without any major holidays. But there’s always interesting National days to think about. This month you could design a Bee collection – those are always super popular. Or what about celebrating the cat and dog parents of the world? Designs for Dog Moms always do well, but Cat Moms is trending up too. Each month there’s always some great food and beverage days which are great for sparking inspiration for new collections! This month draw a watermelon, banana split, or beer! Not into illustration? There’s always text-based designs you could make for beer puns, fur parents, equality, and sisters.
Speaking of beer… don’t forget about Oktoberfest.
Back to school season is in full swing now for most teachers and parents in the US. Teachers are gearing up for a new school year ahead – thinking about what theme they want their classroom to be. Now is a great time to get any and everything school related up. Think school planner stickers, organizational printables or stickers, bulletin board decor, etc.
With school coming up you could also start thinking about school subjects. Maybe design a set for the solar system, science fair, football, or homecoming.
Thinking Ahead
This is your monthly reminder that you should be designing for Christmas if you haven’t already!! It’s almost here guys, and honestly I’m really excited! I’ve got some fun craft projects already in mind, so I can’t wait!
Spooky Season is coming up quick! It seems like each year Halloween get more popular. Pink and orange is the vibe, and cute ghosties are everywhere. But I’m loving this trend. I used to hate Halloween decor but now that things are cute, it’s making me actually want to decorate for Halloween! Of course there will still be a need for more traditional, spooky, decor so if that’s your cup of tea keep at it!
