If you’re looking for ideas on what to design in July, you’ve come to the right place! It’s my goal that these lists can provide you motivation or spark new ideas. These design themes can be used for anything from SVGs to sublimation, clipart, stickers, and more! Please keep in mind dates can change each year so I opted to keep those out.

Project Ideas
If you haven’t already, you should definitely start uploading Christmas designs! Christmas is the one holiday that is purchased year round, but July kicks off the holiday season. Crafters are looking for new designs to make this year to sell in their business, and brick and mortar stores are already starting to curate their holiday collection. If you haven’t started yet, definitely start thinking about what Christmas designs you want to do this year.
While there isn’t a lot of holidays in July (besides Independence Day), there are still a lot of fun topics. This month has a few fun topics that would be fun to create clipart or coloring pages for, like picnics, daiquiris, and grilling. It’s also National World Watercolor Month, so it’s the perfect time to bust out the watercolors!
Thinking Ahead
I know summer just started, but back to school is around the corner! Pretty soon teachers will be decorating their classrooms, parents will be getting their kids ready for school, and vacations will be winding down. Many parents will be starting to homeschool their children, and there’s always a need for educational resources.
After school starts up, Fall holidays won’t be too far behind. If you can’t think about Christmas yet maybe you can think about pumpkins and leaves!
Evergreen Projects
And lastly, I always like to share some evergreen projects to get you thinking about topics you might not have in your design catalog yet! This month I want to talk about occupations. There is always a need for occupation related designs. If you don’t know someone all that well but you do know what they do for work, that can help you with gift ideas. These are more niche topics, but the great part about them is there won’t be as much competition compared to other topics. I hope these spark some ideas for you! ✨
